74岁当妈，80岁当爹。
最近印度一位74岁的老妇Mangayamma通过体外受精生下一对双胞胎，成为世界上最高龄的产妇。
1962年Mangayamma与丈夫Yaramati结婚后就一直没有孩子。尽管看遍了医生，拜遍了寺庙，这对夫妇在结婚50多年后依然膝下无子。
因为没有孩子Mangayamma受到村里不少指责。
Mangayamma remembers people looking at her as if she had committed some kind of sin, and some calling her cursed, but luckily her husband stuck by her and gave her the strength to move on.
Mangayamma记得人们看她的眼神就好像她犯了某种罪，有些人称她被诅咒，但幸运的是，她的丈夫一直支持她，给了她继续前进的力量。

25年前进入更年期后，Mangayamma仍然惦记着能生一个孩子。去年，看到一名55岁的邻居通过体外受精怀孕后，她和她的丈夫决定接受手术。
They performed all the necessary tests and concluded that she could undergo IVF as she was not suffering from diabetes or blood pressure. However, they also asked her to undergo psychological counselling, to ensure that she understood what she was getting into and that she remained mentally strong throughout the pregnancy.
医生对这对夫妻进行了所有必要的测试。因为Mangayamma没有患糖尿病或高血压，医生得出结论她的状况可以接受体外受精。然而，医生还要求她接受心理咨询，以确保她了解自己要承受什么，以及确保她能在整个怀孕期间保持良好的精神状态。

Despite her age, Mangayamma conceived in the very first cycle of the IVF procedure, and for the next nine months, a total of 10 doctors monitored her general health, nutrition and cardiac health, making sure that her pregnancy went as smoothly as possible.
尽管年纪大，Mangayamma在第一次体外受精后就成功怀孕。之后的9个月共有10位医生检测她的健康状况、营养状况和心脏情况，确保她的孕期尽可能顺利。
Yesterday (September 5), the 74-year-old woman became the oldest in the world to give birth, after delivering healthy twin girls. The previous record was set in 2016, when 70-year-old Daljinder Kaur gave birth to a baby boy, also through IVF.

“I am very happy. God has answered our prayers,” Mangayamma told reporters “We are the happiest couple on earth today. We have our own children.”

“It’s due to the grace of God and doctors that I have now become a proud father of two baby girls,” Mangayamma’s 80-year-old husband added. “I am very happy. God has answered our prayers.”

但是高龄产子，也引发了一些人伦争议。
The news of a 74-year-old woman giving birth has sparked controversy among doctors in India, with some claiming that it wasn’t wise to allow a woman of that age to undergo the treatment, even if she pleaded with doctors. And even though the two parents gave assurances that they will take great care of their babies, some wonder if they will be able to do that, and if so, for how long.
这位74岁老妇产子的消息引发了印度医学界的争议，有些人认为即使她恳求医生，让这么大年纪的妇女接受治疗是不明智的。即使这两位父母保证他们会照顾好自己的孩子，外界还是质疑他们能否做到这一点。如果真的做到的话，可以持续多久。

While I'm relieved they're o'kay, the doctor who performed the procedure should never be allowed to \"practice medicine\" again. performing IVF on a woman of this age is irresponsible at best, and gross malpractice at worst.
虽然听说他们情况良好我如释重负，但是做这个手术的医生不应该被允许再次行医了。对这个年龄的女性进行体外受精是不负责任的，最糟糕的情况会发生严重的医疗事故。

Who would do that to their child? They will be dead and the kids have to live with that heartbreak. part of being a mother is not being selfish these people should be ashamed.
